About Me

About me

I am a devoted daughter, mother, caregiver, and advocate whose life has been shaped by compassion, resilience, and a deep commitment to family. For more than two years, I walked alongside my father through his journey with Alzheimer’s Disease—an experience that forever changed me. Writing my book became part of my healing process, as well as a way to support and uplift others facing similar challenges.

My hope is that by sharing my story, I can offer comfort, understanding, and a sense of connection to those caring for loved ones with dementia. I believe deeply in the power of storytelling, the importance of honoring the people who shape our lives, and the strength we find in community.

Advocacy and volunteerism have been central to my adult life. I am passionate about supporting children, promoting mental health services, and raising awareness for dementia and caregiver support. I believe we all have a responsibility to lift one another up—to offer a hand up, not just a handout—and to lead with kindness and compassion.

Above all, I am most proud of my family. I am the mother of four children and seven grandchildren, and I have been blessed with three wonderful bonus children through my marriage to the love of my life. They are my greatest inspiration and the heart behind everything I do.
